Lucky My favorite pet was my dog lucky. I got him from an ad in the newspaper. Lucky was free because they had to many puppies. I think he was best of the bunch. When Lucky was three he learned many tricks. He loved to chase a little red ball and he would beg me to throw it for him. Then when he caught it he wouldn’t give it back. Lucky had curly hair. He had the cutest eyes. They were big and brown. Lucky was very tall. Lucky became great friends with our pet duck, Gertrude. They would play together for hours. Gertrude likes to chase cars with Lucky. He would even help him hunt for worms. Later, Lucky died when he was 9. That night, Gertrude quacked and quacked. Our whole family including Gertrude was so sad. Dad thought we would feel better if we gave Lucky a proper burial. Later gerturde died and she got run over by the mailman when she was chasing his car. We buried her right beside Lucky. I still remember Lucky as my favorite pet.
