Grandma and Me
by Alice Redding

I am going to tell you about my Grandma. My grandma was a principal at South Royal school. She also taught math at Redbird elementary school. She is now retired and sings in a choir at Mt Olive church.

Grandma is from my mothers side of the family. She has green eyes and wears glasses. She always wears a scarf, and she wears big and the pants have pockets. Grandma wears these same types of clothes every day. She always drinks an glass of milk and eats a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

What I like best about my grandma is that she has always been there for me and she always will. Whenever grandma and I are about to go somewhere she said, "Lets hit the ground running!"

When I think of grandma, I picture her on the porch, rocking in her chair. When she is out in the yard, she's as busy as a bee. She liked to garden and plant tomatoes. She grows huge red juicy tomatoes. She has a special place in the garden just for them. Grandma works hard to keep the garden healthy.

I don't know what I would do without my grandma. Without her my life wouldn't be exciting. I wish everyone could have a grandma like mine. Bye now! Lets hit the ground running!
