So far, my experience in fifth grade has been exciting. It has also been challenging. I guess it has been excellent. I think it has been sweet!!!

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been groovy because I have super sweet friends. It is sort of hard. But there are very surprising teachers. It is also challenging.

My fifth grade experience has been very challenging. It has been very awesome. It is also very difficult. It is one of the best grades I’ve ever been in!

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been interesting. It’s also been awesome. I’ve thought it’s been important. I think it’s been a very good time.

So far, my fifth grade experience has been exciting. It’s been silly, too because my funny teachers which are Mrs. Morre, Mrs. Pucket, Mrs. Wice, and Mrs. Hurley. Another thing is it’s been funny to its crazy I tell you. My feeling for fifth grade is it’s fun and interesting.

My fifth grade experience has been challenging. Things we do are very unexpected. The work is educational. It has knowledgeable to know what it’s like to change classes and other things.

Dandridge Elementary School

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been different. I have more homework. No I have less time for extra stuff after school. We work harder in fifth grade. Now my grades are excellent. When my grades are high, I get paid. You should see the money I have made so far this year! So far, my experience in fifth grade has been different than last year. I have more homework, work harder, and get paid more money for better grades.

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been excellent. In math, for my first time ever, I have a math book. It’s a lot harder than a normal work sheet. Also, the spelling tests are different. Now you can circle the words instead of writing them. In science and social studies class, we are doing things my mom did in the seventh grade. Things are a lot harder now. It’s a great thing I’m in the best grade ever.

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been fantastic! My teacher let us have snacks! Plus, he is very sweet and radical! My second teacher is the smartest person in the world! So he knows a lot about vocabulary, spelling, and grammar! My third teacher is smart in math! She is exciting to us all! I like to see my teachers in the fifth grade because they always have great big smiles, and that makes fifth grade fantastic.

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been stupendous. Fifth grade is excellent because I like to change classes. We change classes every day. I like Mrs. McCoig. I think math is great because I have a great teacher for it. We also have an early recess so we can get all of our energy out for work. My experience in fifth grade is excellent because I like to change classes, early recess and I like going to math for third period.

New Market Elementary School

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been extraordinary. It’s different from all the other grades. You can get in trouble a little bit more, too. In fifth grade, you not only alternate classes, but you also have to get organized. You get to do a variety of things in each classroom. In Mrs. Housley’s class you learn Science and Social Studies. When you get done with all of your work, you may read. In Mrs. Ashley’s class you learn Math, and Spelling. When you get done with all your work you could read, get things off the activity shelf like, dry erase boards or education fun boards. Last of all, in Mrs. Noyes’s room, you learn Reading and Language. When you get done with all your work, you can read or look at I spy books. Once a month, you get to illustrate from the art box. It is my favorite thing of all. I think fifth grade is fantastic and exciting. New Market Elementary is a fabulous place to get educated.

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been delightful. Most of the assignments have been very challenging. Sometimes I just want to scream. They have also been very educational. I have learned so much this year, I feel like my brain is going to explode. I have made a tremendous amount of friends. Some of them are even teachers. In the beginning, I was a little nervous, but now fifth grade is really comfortable. It is even a little amusing.

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been easy. Fifth grade has many exciting things. The books are extraordinary. All of the teachers are terrific. Ms. Noyes, Ms. Housley, and Ms. Ashley like fifth grade. I like fifth grade. It is wonderful. Ms. Ashley teaches math and spelling and social studies. Ms. Noyes teaches reading and language. Ms. Ashley’s class is fun, especially when we do spelling word searches. Ms. Housley’s class is educational like social studies. I saved the best for last. Ms.Noyes class is fun educational and joyful.

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been marvelous. The teachers are knowledgeable and delightful. They are hysterical. I really admire them. The students are more intelligent than other schools. The teachers at other schools don’t teach as well as my school. The students loved to hear they were more intelligent than other schools. Everybody is considerate at my school. The principal is tremendously terrific. The staff here is splendid. I am very pleased with my school. I really appreciate my school. I have really enjoyed it.

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been delightful. This six weeks I did not make bad grades. I’m having a very wonderful year in fifth grade. I have marvelous and intelligent teachers. They are all very wise and sharp. I have many friends here. They are all very cordial. So far, it has been a superior year. I think I’m going to pass because I have been making good grades. I think all of the teachers are very kind.

Fifth grade is troubling. But no matter, the teachers are nice. Also, they help you learn and you make lots of friends. Sometimes it’s frustrating, but also very enjoyable. I feel that going to school is superb and exciting, however, some assignments are hard to understand.

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been exciting. I can’t wait for more. It is sort of hard for me. It’s always been wonderful for me to spend time with my friends and the teachers too. I think fifth grade is great. I think the teachers have a lot of fun teaching sometimes. My best subjects to do in fifth grade are language, math spelling, and science. I always get confused about which work to turn in. I think the teachers are very nice to me. That’s my experience in fifth grade class. I feel fifth grade is the best grade ever. Everybody is nice to me in fifth grade. I feel that I can help anybody in the school when I am older than them. I feel safe in fifth grade. That is my experience in fifth grade.

Piedmont Elementary

So far, my experiences in fifth grade have been exciting. I think fifth grade is exciting because you get recess. We get to play on the big play equipment. In fifth grade you get a lot of privileges. One of our privileges is reward hour. I love how we switch classes. Now that we switch classes, we can experience all the teachers. Fifth grade is awesome!

So far, my experience in fifth grade has been awesome. I have had a wonderful time in Mrs. Daley’s class. We got to take her snake Eve out and pet her. This year has been very challenging. I’ve had so much speaking experience. We get to go outside every day, unless it’s raining, muddy, or freezing. I love fifth grade. It’s like a dream come true.

So far my experience in fifth grade has been exhilarating. My home room teacher Mrs. Daley is a exciting teacher, and she teaches my two favorite subjects, social studies and reading. Mrs. Daley is the best teacher ever. Mrs. Yardley does not give a lot of homework. She is very strict, and teaches math and spelling. She really loves math. Mr. Polk my second period teacher has a lot of crazy stories to tell. He is very funny. Fifth grade is full of fun and adventures.

So far my experience in fifth grade has been challenging. We have a lot of reading to do. In fifth grade all the teachers are helpful. Reading and social studies is with Mrs. Daley. Science and English is with Mr. Polk. Math and spelling is with Mrs. Yardley. We go out for recess every day. Fifth grade is really exciting. I don’t want to leave.

So far my experience in fifth grade has been great. It has been interesting and exciting. There is a lot of stuff you can do in fifth grade. The teachers are very unique. All the teachers teach different things. We get to go outside everyday, and it is wonderful. So far fifth grade has been excellent and I think I don’t want to go to sixth grade.

Jefferson Elementary School

So far my experience in fifth grade has been awesome. The teachers are very kind. They care and they want us to learn things that we do not know.

My teachers try to help us learn to be the best school. We all try to get along with each other.

I like all the children at Jefferson Elementary School. They all are very nice and kind.

I think fifth grade is very interesting because everything changed since last year.

I make wonderful friends in fifth grade. Almost everyone is my friend.

The little kids make me feel big. When I look down at them they make me feel almost giant.

My age group is the oldest in school and it makes me feel great.

So far my experience in fifth grade has been fantastico. Fifth grade is challenging it makes you learn more.

All my teachers are awesome. They make the work fun.

We get to be on Safety Patrol. We get to set examples for the students in school.

Talbott Elementary School

So far, my experience in the fifth grade has been absolutely fantastic. In the fifth grade we write a lot, but I love writing. But fifth grade is more than just writing. Our math teacher teaches us lots of Geometry terms and skills. In science learning about invertabrates and vertebrates is also fun. If you go to Talbott Elemantary School and area fifth grader you know that we do lot of interesting things. We will be starting Dare soon, we participate in 4-H and we plan to go on some very educational field trips. Fifth grade is a very vivid, wonderful, exciting, busy grade. Julie

So far my experience in fifth grade has been interesting. Some interesting things are our pets and the mural we are doing. Our mural has a prairie dog and snake habitats on it. It’s also interesting because of the writing we do. Once we wrote about a storm at sea. We also do band which also makes it interesting. In our band we have clarinets, trumpets, saxafones, french horns, flutes, tubas, baratones, and trombones. Fifth grade is so great! Jack

We have a prairie dog names Rosie, some fish, a frog named Boco, and a snake but it has got loose. We are looking for it. I have serched the whole building. We are making a mural. So far, my experience in fifth grade has been so awesome. It has baffled me. It has been so much fun. I wish I could be around the teachers all the time. I love going outside and playing. So far my experience in 5^th grade has been exciting. We got to start a bug collection. I have 12 bugs. We have lots of pets. Believe it or not, in the whole fifth grade, we have 11 pets! We have eight subjects. It is hard to try and get straight A’s! The work might be hard, but 5^th grade is the best! Katey

Easter Island has a lesson for us to remember today. It is found in the South Pacific. The island was created by a volcano, so there are lava tubes and sharp jagged rocks all over. Also, because it was created by a volcano, Easter Island has very good, rich soil.

People who settled on the island started making thousands of statues. The statues are still there today. Some of them reach at least 50 feet in size. All of the statues are made of a soft rock called moai. Some of them were made in caves.

Natural resources like wood were wasted in the movement of the statues. Because they cut all the trees down, all the rich soil eroded. Without good soil, all the crops died. So with nothing to eat, they began to fight each other. When the wars were over, which ever group won ate the others.

Today we, too, could find ourselves like them if we waste our natural resources like water, food, wood, and other things that we can not live without. Neal

Wow! What a lesson I learned about Easter Island! Easter Isalnd has a very warm climate and is located in the South Pacific. When people first started living on the island. The islanders started making thousands of statues and were obsessed with their work! The statues were made of moai and they put a lot of effort into their statues and they all looked the same. Natural resources like wood and crops were waisted in the movement of the statues. They had cut down all their trees to make statues so when it rained everything flooded. Today we too could find ourselves waisting our natural resources!

Then later they stoped cannibalism and repaired their heritage and made the Birdman cult in the Birdman cult they swam in shark infested water to get an egg and bring it back uncracked of they made it they had special privileges for a year.

Today we too could find ourselves out of natural resources. If we lose natural resources we too would begin to fight. Then we might eat each other. Could it happen?

After only about 150 were left, they tried to bring back their culture. They had a leader called the Birdman. They lived for a while but then slave traders came and gathered all the strong ones.

Today we to could find ourselves without natural resources if we waste them. If we waste paper then more trees will have to be cut down and trees help us breathe. Also if we damage the land then it will erode. And we will not have much land. If we kill off a lot of animals that we need then we will starve. Hannah

They used wood for many things, such as shelter or housing and moving moais from one place to the other. Soon they had used up all the trees. Without the trees, when it rained, the top soil washed into the ocean. Without top soil the crops died out. Since they didn’t have any wood, they couldn’t make escape boats, so they were stuck on the island. Since there was little food, the islanders started fighting. They were killing each other over food. Soon they became cannibals. After a while, there were less than six hundred islanders. They decided to pick a leader every year. They named the leader Birdman. In order to become the Birdman they climb down the mountain side, swim through shark in fested waters, climb up a rock, get the egg, swim back through the shark in fested waters without breaking the egg. The person who did this was named Birdman. The Birdman told everyone what to do and what they can eat. In 1860 slave traders went to Easter Island and got the very few healthy and strong islanders. They took them back to North America and traded them for money.

Today we too could ourselves running out of natural resources. If we waste paper more trees will be cut down, the more trees cut down the less oxygen. If all the trees are cut down, the top soil will wash away. Without top soil the farmers crops will die. Without the farmer’s crop we would not have food. Without food we would start to starve. Then we could possibly start to kill each other and mabe even practice cannibalism. If that happended, we would eventually die out. Kathy

We could find ourselves in that situation if we run out of natural resources. If we lose all of our natural resources, we would more than likely start fighting as well. For Example, lets say there is only one grape and three people what do you think will happen? Fights of course. Everyone will start fighting until people start cannablism.

Last Christmas, I had a petite surprise. At 12:00 pm, I heard a noise in the bathroom. Quickly, I jumped up to see if it was Santa Clause! Slowly, I went downstairs. I saw a scary man putting toys under the tree. I was so afraid. I was scared. I went outside to scream without waking somebody. When he heard me leaving, the man went up the chimney and took off with his sleigh. I looked back at the man and said, “Sorry.” I decided to go back inside because I felt bad. The man said, “Ho, ho, ho.” I am glad that he went away.

Last Christmas, I had a fantastic morning. As I was in the living room, I heard a noise. Frightened, I jumped up to go look outside. I slowly went down the stairs. I saw a fat man walking around. I was so afraid I tackled him. I went outside to catch him. When he heard me leaving the man jumped up. I looked back at the man and said “Ho, ho, ho.” I decided to go back inside because I wanted to know what he left. The man ran up stairs. Boy, am I glad I got my presents back!

Last Christmas, I had a real neat surprise. At 10:00 p.m., I heard a noise as I was sleeping in my bed. Frightened, I jumped up to find out what or who was in the house. Quickly, I went down the stairs. I saw a fat, old man. He was building a fort with snow balls. I was so afraid I jumped out of my pants. I went outside to run away. When he heard me leaving the man ran outside. I looked back at the man and said, “ Who are you?” I decided to go back inside because I wanted to catch the crook. The man flew off with his reindeer. Boy, am I glad that it was just my neighbor.

Last Christmas, I had an exciting surprise. Late at night I heard a noise as I was in the living room. Quickly, I jumped up to see what it was. Quietly, I went downstairs. I saw a scary man watching football. I was so afraid. I quickly and loudly screamed. When he heard me coming, he broke down the door. I heard noises coming from the man. I looked around and said, “You scared me out of my bloomers.” I would get a whipping if I had done that to someone. The man was outside climbing in my window. Boy, am I glad it was Santa and his elves.

Last Christmas, I had an exquisite surprise. At midnight, I heard a noise as I was combing my hair. Horrified, I jumped up to hurry down stairs to see if someone was hurt. Quickly and quietly, I went downstairs. I saw an energetic, fat pale man taking away all of my beautifully wrapped presents. I was so afraid I ran to the bathroom to splash cold water on my fact to make sure I was not dreaming. I went outside to grab some wood to bonk him on the head. When he heard me leaving the man followed me cautiously. I looked at the man and said “Get out of my house you creep!” I decided to go back inside because I wanted to check and see if the presents were still there. The man vanished into thick ashes. Boy, am I glad it was only a dream.

Last Christmas, I had an exquisite surprise. I heard a noise as I was sleeping. When I was sitting on the stairs, I jumped up to find out what the noise was. I was creeping down the stairs. I saw a crazy man going to the bathroom. I was so afraid I started screaming. I went outside to get cold. When he heard me leaving the man ran after me. I looked back at the man and said, “Who are you and what are you doing hear?” I decided to go back inside because he started chasing me. The man was a cookie and milk thief. Boy, am I glad I ate the cookies and milk first.

Last grand Christmas, I had a sidesplitting surprise. I heard a noise as I was climbing out of bed. Quickly, I jumped up to see what it was. I got my clothes on and went down the stairs rapidly. I saw a huge man running. I was so afraid I ran upstairs to get my snappers to throw at his feet. I went outside while throwing snappers at him. I went outside to avoid the hideous sight. When he heard me leaving the man said, “Stop!” I looked back at the man. I decided to go back inside because I heard something. The man whom was my dad straightened up and ran to the bathroom crying. Boy, am I glad he is my dad.

Last Christmas, I had an exquisite surprise. I heard a noise as I was sleeping. Hilariously, I jumped up to say “Santa’s here! Santa’s here!” I went downstairs very dreary. I saw a red guy who had a beard and he was cleaning and dusting our house. I was so afraid I hit him. I went outside to collect some snow. When he heard me leaving the man said, “Thanks for the cookies and milk.” I looked back at the man and said, “Who are you, cause you are sure not Santa Clause.” I decided to go back inside because it was bad. The man finally got his piece of junk car started and sped up into the sky. Boy, am I glad it was dad.

Last Christmas, I had a fabulous surprise. I heard a noise as I was in the bed. Excitedly, I jumped up. I went down stairs calmly. I saw an ugly man putting presents under the tree. I was so afraid I yelled for my dad. I went outside to get my mom and dad. When he heard me leaving, the man chased me around the yard. I looked back at the man and said “Where did you come from?” I went back inside to wake my mom and dad up. The man had left. Boy, am I glad that was Santa Claus.

Last Christmas, I had a great surprise. I heard a noise as I was eating. Quickly, I jumped up to go see what the noise was. Cautiously, I went downstairs. I saw a big man merrily eating cookies. I was so afraid I ran back upstairs and hid. I went outside to look on the roof. When he heard me leaving, the man ran into the wall. I looked back at the man and asked, “Are you all right?” I decided to go back because he was raiding the fridge. The man was looking for cookies and milk. Boy, am I glad he was Santa Claus.

Last Christmas I had a super cool surprise. I heard a noise as I was in the North Pole. Nervously, I jumped up to go run into my mom’s bedroom. Slowly, I went down stairs. I saw a hideous man putting presents under the tree. I was so afraid I went to my mom’s bedroom quickly. I went outside to get away from the hideous man. When he heard me leaving the man chased me. I looked back at the man and said, “I’ll hit you.” I decided to go back inside because I was going to lock him out. The man got hit with a shovel because my dad came out to see what was going on. Boy, am I glad that he could not get in so I was safe.

Last Christmas, I had a crazy surprise. I heard a noise as I was slowly walking down the hall. Quickly, I jumped up to get my gun. Dangerously, I went down stairs. I saw a huge man trying to put nuts under my tree. I was so afraid I hit him. I went outside to get my gun out of the shed. When he heard me leave the man chased me. I looked back at the man and said, “You better let me go now.” I decided to go back inside because he told me that he was crazy and he let me go. The man stayed outside. Boy, am I glad it was only Uncle Buck.

Last Christmas, I had an exciting surprise. I heard a noise as I was slowly walking down stairs. Nervously, I jumped up to run. I nervously ran down the stairs. I saw a fat big bearded man. I saw a huge man coming upstairs. I was so afraid I started screaming and ran upstairs. I went outside to go to my neighbors. When he heard me leaving the man snuck out the back window. I looked back and said “Stay back!” I decided to go back inside because the man came outside. I locked the door. The man started to beat on the door but he could not get in. Boy, am I glad that he didn’t steal our stuff.

Last Christmas, I had a wonderful surprise. I heard a noise as I was frustrated. Cautiously, I jumped up to go down stairs to see who was there. Excitedly, I jumped up. I saw a fat man putting presents under my tree and eating my cookies. I was so afraid I screamed. I went outside to hide. When he heard me leaving, the man ran after me. I looked back at the man and asked, “What are you doing hear?” I decided to go back inside because I wanted to wake my parents up. The man flew away. Boy, am I glad I saw Santa.

I saw a hideous man putting presents under our tree. I was so afraid I screamed. I went outside to yell for help. When he saw me leaving the man ran quickly. I turned around and said, “Who are you?” I decided to go back inside to see what he had done. The man had left. Boy, am I glad he left all the presents behind.

I saw a big fat man putting presents under the tree. I was so afraid I ran back up stairs. I went outside to look. When he heard me leaving, the man turned around. I looked back at the man and said, “What are you doing here?” I decided to go back inside because it was freezing outside. The man climbed to the top of the house. Boy, am I glad he was not a robber.

Last Christmas, I had a spectacular surprise. I heard a noise. Quickly, I jumped up to go the dining room. Slowly, I went downstairs. I saw a super fat man eating cake. I was so afraid I could not sleep. I went outside to get snow balls. When he heard me leaving, the man ran after me. I looked back at the man and said, “Who are you?” I decided to go back inside to wake up my mom and dad. The man just disappeared. Boy, am I glad he’s locked out.

Last Christmas, I had a beautiful surprise. I heard a noise as I was sleeping. Quickly, I jumped up to get a baseball bat. Silently, I went up stairs. I saw a hairy man getting the surprises. I was so afraid I hit him with the baseball bat. I went outside to see who it was. When he heard me leaving, the man looked up in the sky. I looked at the man and asked, “What are you doing with our presents?” I decided to go back inside because I was going to hit him again. The man disappeared. Boy, am I glad he’s gone.

I saw a nerdy man eating cookies. I was so afraid I wet my pants. I went outside and when he heard me, the man shot me. I looked back at the man and said, “Why did you shoot me?” I went back inside because maybe I could shoot his fat stomach off. The man said, “Please do not shoot me.” Boy, am I glad he fell down and died.

Last Christmas, I had a Christmas surprise. I heard a noise as I was in by bedroom. Quickly, I jumped up to run to see who it was. Carefully, I went downstairs. I saw a fat man eating all of the food out of the refrigerator. I was so afraid I ran upstairs to get a gun. I went outside to see if he was there. I shot my gun. When he heard me leaving, he belched. I looked back at the man and asked, “Who are you?” I decided to go back inside because my gun was out of bullets. The man left before I could find my bullets. Boy, am I glad I had to get in bed.
