Little Tech Bag of Tricks

  • Getting the most of the Acrobat Distiller Printer
When Acrobat is installed, a special printer called the Acrobat Distiller Printer is setup on your computer.  This feature is not available with the free download version of Acrobat.  The printer serves in just the same way as any printer except that instead of printing a paper copy of your material, it will create a .pdf file.  The printer can be used with any program that provides a print option.  Simply change the default printer to the Acrobat Distiller Printer and when the document is printer a request for a  .pdf file name will appear.
