  2. Plan for the substitute too.  Provide enough information and resources so that the substitute is in control, not the students.  Problems that occur while substitutes are in the classroom will be waiting for you when you return to the classroom.

Teachers must be both effective speakers and writers as well as listeners.  Several forms are online to assist the teacher in providing organized information to students and their parents.

 

 

Monitor learners in all school settings.  Proximity control is the key to classroom control.  Evaluate the situation that both you and the student create in the classroom.
