Grade 9
Video presentation, “Zap Rap”
provides education on awareness and electrical safety.
There are also presentations about he history of
electricity, rural electrification, TVA, and the
formation of AEC. This could be coordinated through the
social studies/Tennessee history classes/teachers.
A
variety of video presentations are available for high
school students, designed to share information and
promote safety. We also have several programs on the
history of electricity and the formation of rural
electrification. Through the development of TVA and the
birth of the Appalachian Electric Cooperative, we can
help students understand the journey of bringing
electricity to rural America
