The following
information was provided by Betsy Wheeler at a TLG presentation in Nashville,
July 19.
The TLG site should
be up and running shortly. It has been changed to hopefully make
the process run smoother. Unnecessary "bells and whistles" in the
design have been removed in an effort to prevent confusion.
If a teacher at your
school drops out before the first submission deadline another teacher from
your school may replace him/her. This change must be submitted by
your Technology Coordinator.
The first submission
deadline is October 30. If a teacher misses that deadline they cannot
complete 3 units. If a teacher is only doing one unit of study, he/she
has entire year's length of the TLG process (April 1, 2001) to complete
it.
If your school was
only approved for 2 units and additional funds are found to be available
there is a possibility that an additional unit may be funded, however if
the teacher who wishes to do so hasn't completed the 2 units by the deadlines
they will not be eligible.
In all likelihood
no TLG 2001 funds will be left over and divided as happened in the last
round of TLG 2000 since this money can be rolled over and used in the future.
