FYI
What happens if an authorized teacher
with their units wants to drop out?
Answer:
If a teacher’s name
and units have been listed on the Grant Submission Form and this has received
initial authorization for funding, the school system will need to submit
a change in a teacher’s name if one wants to drop out and another wants
to take his/her place. This substitution can only be for the entire
number of units authorized for a particular teacher on the Grant Submission
Form. This is considered an “authorized teacher” who can submit the
indicated number of units. Changes (to the list of authorized teachers)
should be directed to Betsy Wheeler,
wheelerb@k12tn.net or 901-536-0469.
What should I do if I gave the incorrect
email address when I registered?
Answer: Changes
in email information should be directed to Betsy
Wheeler, wheelerb@k12tn.net or 901-536-0469. Remember to include
your registration name, number, and correct email address.
What happens if an “authorized teacher”
doesn’t want to complete all of the units that have been authorized?
Answer: If a teacher
has been authorized to submit more than 1 unit and later changes his/her
mind about the number of units to be submitted, the teacher and the school
and the school system loses the opportunity to obtain the funds for the
additional units associated with this teacher.
Will grant submissions be approved
as they are submitted or will the entire group that is submitted before
each deadline be evaluated during the two weeks following the submission
deadline?
Answer: The entire
group will be reviewed and authorized at each of the 3 deadline periods.
How will they know their school has
been approved?
Answer: There will
be a status site showing authorized schools and the teachers who are authorized
to participate including the number of authorized units to be submitted.
Does a teacher have to wait for final
approval on a submission before beginning a second or third unit of study?
Answer: Yes.
Please follow the calendar described in the TLG2001 Program Description.
One unit, per teacher, can be submitted in each calendar period.
