The Fourth Grade is such an excited year! Fourth Graders experience more challenges in every subject area. Learning is kicked into high gear!

Reading in fourth grade is about getting faster and reading better. The more you read the better you get at it. Practice makes perfect! Math is all about building skills and refining current math abilities. Writing becomes even more important as fourth graders learn how to express their thoughts and ideas and write about what they have learned, book reports, research papers, essays, and poetry. Fourth grade science is about learning processes and concepts. In Social Studies, fourth graders continue to learn about the geography of the United States as well as state and local government and civic participation.

The fourth grade is a wonderful time of learning and change. Our students rise to the challenge in many ways. Fourth graders become very independent young people.
Fourth grade is a time of fun and adventure. We try to emphasize that learning is a lifelong process that began in kindergarten, and will continue throughout their lives. We enjoy doing many different activities and hands on experiences.

One of our greatest experiences is our end of the year field trip to River Ridge Environmental camp.  We try our best to get everyone to go as it is a wonderful learning experience for the children.

Please contact me if you feel any concerns, open communication is a necessity in your child's life.
