  • Tech Tutorials offers a wide range of tutorials for all levels of learners.
  • The Panhandle Educational Consortium offers free online digital workshops for professional development.  Upon completion of the training opportunity, participants must pass a quiz with 80% proficiency to obtain a Certificate of Completion.  Check out the opportunity under Additional Subject:  Turning Data into Information!
  • Concept to Classroom provides more opportunities for professional development with workshops based on both theory and methodology giving many tips and strategies for enhancing your teaching.
  • Annenberg Media provides free on-line professional development in most areas of education.  There are 48 courses and workshops at this site with some designated secondary or elementary.  Certificates of Participation are provided.

June is National Internet Safety Month.    If you are not sure what type of rules and guidelines help to keep children safe, you may view some suggested rules at SafeKids.com and  Love Our Children USAYou may also visit      i-SAFE, a world leader in internet safety to read more.  SafeTeens offers guidelines for teens on the World Wide Web.  MySecureCyberspace has an interactive game to help learn about being cybersafe.  (This takes a few minutes to load so be patient.)Other useful sites include:

 

The lazy days of summer offer great opportunities to read a book! Looking for a good book? 

  • Go to READ PRINT and select the author and the title you have been wanting to read.  Read Print is a free online library with hundreds of books for students and teachers to read.

  • Did you know that there are over 16,000 books you can read online, for FREE?  Books Online is one of the hidden treasures of the web.

  • WOWIO Has free ebooks that may be downloaded by U.S. residents only.
