February is the shortest month but it is filled with special days and events that provided many educational opportunities.  Events and celebrations include:  Valentine’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Black History Month, American Heart Month and Library Lover's Month.       

 A national year-long celebration of science to engage the public in science and improve public understanding about how science works, why it matters, and who scientists are.  Teachers and schools are invited to visit COPUS  (Coalition on the Public Understanding of Science) for ideas for generating interest in you classroom, school, or community.  There is a theme for each month.

Celebrate Black History during the month February.
