Edupics.com is a great resource to find pictures on a variety of topics.  Teachers can use these pictures in class to enhance teaching, while students can use them to expand their knowledge and/or review subject matter.

Fact Master is an award winning site that features an atlas, almanac, dictionary, encyclopedia, and individualized homework help.  Students can get facts on a range of subjects including math, the world and news, U.S., science, sports, people, and more.  There are games and quizzes also. 

Don't Buy It: Get Media Smart is a media literacy website to help young people become smart consumers. The site provides activities which gives the skills and knowledge needed to question, analyze, interpret and evaluate media messages.

Encyclopedia.com, Google Scholar, and eLibrary provide powerful research tools.

Ever been at a loss for words when it comes time to describe a child's performance on a report card? Use Report Card Comments to put the perfectly proper words on the page!

The Children’s Book Council (CBC) is a non-profit trade organization dedicated to encouraging literacy and the use and enjoyment of children’s books.
The American Literature on the Web site is maintained by Akihito Ishikawa, Department of English at Nagasaki University of Foreign Studies, Japan. The is mainly a collection of links to sites on the Internet especially dealing with American literature and its social, cultural contexts. It includes homepages and documents on over 300 authors and electronic texts of their works.
A super collection of myths, legends, and tall tales is American Folklore.

PBS has just one of the most comprehensive Web undertakings in years with the debut of PBS Teachers, PBS' portal for pre-K-12 educators—check it out at www.pbs.org/teachers.
First People - the Legends contains legends of the first Nation people.  There are legends and stories told by the elders of many of the Native American Indian tribes.  The site includes many links to related resources.
