SuperKids  has created a collection of easy-to-use, free educational resources, for home and school.

Academic Vocabulary provides educators with with a common list of vocabulary for each grade in each subject area in the state of Tennessee.  This site also provides innovative methods for teaching and helping students learn the vocabulary.

Gamequarium has activities for science, reading, and math for grades PK - 6.  Don't miss this site!

Whole Brain Teaching

Reading and the Brain  Hosted by Henry Winkler, who has had his own struggles with reading, Reading and the Brain explores how brain scientists are working to solve the puzzle of why some children struggle to read and others don't. Dr. Arbor Talks About Trees is great site for students of all ages.  The site includes information on how trees works, all the state trees, online laboratory, and suggested activities.

Neuroscience for Kids was created for all students and teachers who want to explore the nervous system. Find dozens of classroom experiments and word search puzzles.

Science News is provided by the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and features Natural History news in the media.  Explore a collection of articles and sites on the Diversity of Life.

Create a DNA Fingerprint.  But what exactly is a DNA fingerprint? Well, it certainly isn't an inky impression of a DNA strand. Compared to unimaginably small DNA, a fingerprint is HUGE. So what is it that we're looking at, and how is one of these fingerprints made?

DNA Workshop is another great site from PBS that has activities, explains DNA replication and protein synthesis, and provides background information on many of the scientists in the field.
