8th grade Art Students participate in Raku Firing Project

Guest Artists, Peter Rose and Nancy Campbell, in cooperation with art teacher, Jessica Jarnagin, taught the 8th grade students the art of Raku pottery.  On Tuesday May 6th, the pottery was fired outside in a kiln.  See the photo album.

The 2008 Rush Strong Idol Winners!

The variety show was a huge success this year.  34 acts were presented in three different talent shows.  A grand total of $820 was raised for Relay for Life through voting for our Rush Strong Idols. First, second and third place winners are pictured.

K-2 Winners - Cameron, Abby, Brenda, Mary, Brittany, and Taylor

3-5 Winners Morgan, Tori, Cera, and Kaleigh

6-8 Winners - Mrs. Lewis and the creative movement group, Morgan and Haleigh, and Josh.

Welcome New Plainsmen!

We are thrilled at the birth of the Webster twins, Brianna and Briley on April 21st at 8 AM.  Proud parents, Brock and Stephanie Webster, and the girls are doing well!

 

Faculty / Student Basketball Game  On Friday April 18th, the students were treated to a faculty / student basketball game. 

Spring Fun Day

 

Congratulations to all our Honor Roll, B.U.G. & Perfect Attendance Students.  Way to Go!!  The incentive program was Tuesday April 22.

Spring Clean Up / Spruce Up Day was April 22nd.  Many classes took part in picking up trash, cleaning up flower beds, and making our campus a more beautiful place.  See the photo album.  Thank You to all the classes that helped out!  Special thanks to Pam Harper for providing gloves, goody bags, and trash bags courtesy of the Jefferson County litter grant.
