Supply List for 2009-2010

These lists are for the upcoming school year.  These are what all teachers require.  Another individual teacher list will be sent when school begins, which include these items as well as items unique to each teacher.

• $15.00 school fees, as far as we know right now

• $  6.00 t-shirt fee  (for field trips)     

• zippered pencil bag - No plastic fronts and no boxes!

• 3 plastic folders - 2-pocket, 3-prong, no designs

• blanket for nappers

• 4 packs of glue sticks

• Band-Aids for the school clinic

• Dixie Cups (dispenser size - 3 oz.)

•  1 plain white t-shirt (size 10-12 or larger); does not need to be new; will be used for field trips

•  2 (12 pack) of pencils (no plastic wrappers please:  they don’t

•         sharpen well) 

•  2 dry erase markers 

• Fee Money:  $15.00, as we know right now 

• Math coins:  20 pennies, 20 nickels, 10 dimes, 4 quarters (These will be returned at the end of the year.)

• disinfecting wipes, baby wipes, germ-x, Happy Meal toys for treasure boxes

This is a basic list and, after your child is assigned to a teacher next year, you will receive another list that will include what each individual teacher requires.

• Two packages of 10-12 YELLOW #2 pencils ( No glitter, paper-wrapped, or plastic coated pencils.  They clog up the pencil sharpener!)

• Large box of Kleenex

• Headphones (for the computer speakers to prevent the spread of lice)

• DO NOT buy new book bags for school until getting another list at the first of the school year.  Some teachers allow them.  Some do not.

•  48  #2 yellow pencils (no plastic, paper-coated, or glitter - sharpener clogs)

• 1 inch “Slicker” type notebook (flexible, light-weight notebook)

•     Do NOT buy Trapper Keepers or zippered notebooks. They do not fit into our desks.  You will not be allowed to use them at school.

• 1 Package  BLACK dry-erase markers (slender size) NO other colors.

• Composition book (not spiral notebooks, but the hard cover, sewn in spine type)

• 1 dry erase eraser for the wipe-off boards

• 6 Notebook Dividers

• Wide-ruled notebook paper - not college ruled (a constant supply all year)    It takes 5-6 packages of 200 sheets to last the year. 

• #2 Pencils (at least 2 every day)    (Plastic-covered pencils are NOT good in the sharpeners) (The best kind of pencil for class is the Papermate Sharpwriter disposable #2 pencils) 

• colored pencils (at least 8)

• 1 large box of Kleenex

• Headphones for computer use (to prevent head lice)

• Book Bag – Nothing with WHEELS!     Please, do not buy extra large bags.  They are not necessary for 4^th grade and do not fit in the cubbyhole. Students have to share a cubby with another student.

• Snacks such as Goldfish Crackers, Animal Crackers, Cheez-It Crackers

• Papermate Sharpwriter disposable #2 pencils

• Band-aids for the clinic

•  A one-inch, 3 ring, flexible binder (slicker) to keep notebook paper in.  (Large notebooks or Trapper Keepers do not fit in the desks.)

• Wide ruled notebook paper (a constant supply all year) 

• #2 pencils (at least 2 everyday) 

•  1 single subject spiral notebooks (or one multiple subject spiral) 

•  3 folders with pockets (1red, 1 blue, 1 orange) 

• a pair of headphones to use in the computer lab 

• a large box of tissues

• Composition book (not spiral notebooks, but the hard cover, sewn in spine type)

Book bags on wheels are not permitted.
