INCOMING 7^TH GRADE PARENTS FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2012 – 2013                       

AS OF JULY 2010, TO ATTEND 7^TH GRADE IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE, YOUR CHILD MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING VACCINATIONS – TETANUS-DIPHTHERIA-PERTUSSIS BOOSTER & VERIFICATION OF IMMUNITY TO VARICELLA – 2 DOSES OR HISTORY OF CHICKENPOX                 

SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT BEFORE THE SCHOOL YEAR BEGINS.  DON’T DELAY---PREPARE NOW BY CALLING YOUR PRIVATE PHYSICIAN OR THE JEFFERSON COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT FOR AN APPOINTMENT.   REMEMBER:  IMMUNIZATIONS MUST BE UPDATED AND PUT ON THE NEW TENNESSEE TWIS FORM OR STUDENTS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND SCHOOL IN AUGUST.  THESE ABSENCES WILL BE UNEXCUSED UNTIL PROPER DOCUMENTATION HAS BEEN SENT TO SCHOOL.  Thank you.

We are Maury Middle School. Our school services students in grades six through eight.  We have an enrollment of approximately 675 students.  Our school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Our school is situated overlooking beautiful Douglas Lake with awesome views of the Great Smoky Mountains in the distance.
