Mr. Joel Ray
Sanford, Principal
In
1981, Mr. Sanford received a Bachelor of Science degree from
Carson Newman College in Physical Education and Health. Upon
graduation, he began his teaching career at Morristown West
High School in Morristown, Tennessee and completed his
Master’s of Science degree from the University of Tennessee
at Knoxville in 1990. He taught biology and agricultural
science classes at Morristown West. Mr. Sanford taught at
Morristown West for twenty four years and completed his
Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration
and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University in 2005. He
coached baseball and football during his tenure at
Morristown West. He currently is actively involved as a
board member for the Jefferson County Livestock Association
and the Jefferson County Farmer’s Cooperative. Mr. Sanford
enjoys working on his family beef cattle farm and riding
horses. He is married to Jennifer, a teacher at Jefferson
County High School, and they have one son, Tanner.
Mrs. Angela Rogers, Assistant Principal
In 1993,
Mrs. Rogers received a Bachelor of Science degree from
Carson
Newman College in Education. Upon graduation, she began
her teaching career as a classification teacher at Mountain
View. She then joined the staff of Jefferson Middle School, and completed her Master’s
of Curriculum and Instruction
degree from the Carson Newman in 1999. She taught 8th grade
math. Mrs.
Rogers taught at Jefferson Middle for 6 years and
completed her
Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration
and
Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University in 2003. She
coached
basketball during her tenure at Jefferson Middle. She also
taught 6th
grade math at Maury Middle School for 3 year. She
currently is
actively involved as a the youth program at First United
Methodist Church, Dandridge. She
is married to Randy, a teacher at West View Middle School in
Hamblen
County, and they have three sons, Nolan, Jacob & Maddux.
