First grade students are honored through P.O.P.S. or the Power of Positive Students every six to eight weeks.  Each teacher chooses the child they think most exemplifies Character Ed's buzzword of the month (Caring, Cooperation, Responsibility, Respect, Self-discipline, Thankfulness).  Teachers also choose two or three other children who contribute positively to the classroom environment.
