Look at Me
Students use Paint to create self-portraits
to be printed and displayed together on a bulletin board celebrating all
the different “Me’s” in the class.
Transportation Puzzle
Discuss with students different types
of transportation. Then challenge them to draw detailed pictures
that include a transportation vehicle. Have them print the picture
and glue it to tag board. After the picture has dried, they can cut
the picture into puzzle pieces.
My Family
Invite each student to create and
color a decorative border on a page using Publisher. Print the boarders
and ask students bring a picture of each family member form home that they
can glue onto the page for display.
Classroom Quilt
Have each student create an original
design that fills the entire screen using Paint. Students print their
masterpieces. These pictures can be attached to one another to create
a classroom quilt designs for display.
Good Citizenship
Students use the paint tools to illustrate
one of the behaviors of a good citizen. The text tool can be sued
to write the caption. Some ideas include: good citizens pick up litter;
good citizens use inside voices while they are inside; good citizens share;
good citizens walk quietly in the halls; and so on.
The White House
Student will explore the White House
using the Internet site listed below. Before the project begins discuss
the White House as being the home of the president of the United States
and his/her family. The Scavenger hunt may be printed for students
to supply answers or may be conducted as a whole class activity.
