Student Assignments

Day 1 & 2
       Students reasearch using the Internet to determine the specis they want to to investigate.  The U.S. Fish and Wildlife web page is an excellent resource for locating species threatened or endangered in the U.S.

Day 3
        Students prepare a written report for presentation to other call members.  The presentation shares the information discovered during research and use pictures and other visuals found on the Internet.  The report should include an outline and a bibliography.

Day 4
        Studenst compose a letter to the state legislature presenting a case for the adaption of a law to help protect tthe species and possible solutions to bring them back to having adequate numbers for sustaining a place in the future.

Day 5
        Group presentations and video presentations will be used to provide authentic feedback for improving communitcation skills.
