Induction Program Schedule

The next Teacher Induction workshop is March 25 from 4-6 p.m. at Jefferson Elementary SchoolThe complete 2007-2008 Induction Program and schedule is available at the Teachers link on the district website.  Attendance at each induction program session is required of all novice teachers.  Through participation, teachers can earn self-selected in-service and SACS credits. Questions?

Dynamic Curriculum

Our Dynamic Curriculum project provides links and presentations aligned with the Tennessee BluePrint for Learning.  These resources are created or collected by Jefferson County teachers.  The site is a work in progress, so check back often!  Currently the project hosts teaching materials for health, science, language arts, and math.

Attention Teachers With Military Experience!  Tennessee has posted a new provision for salary rating credit for active military experience:  "Acceptable Military Experience for Salary Rating Purposes: Active military service in the armed forces of the United States shall be recognized. Military service in the Reserve or in the National Guard, other than active duty, shall not be counted. Not more than five years of experience in the armed forces of the United States shall be counted."  Please submit a DD Form 214 which documents active military experience to Virginia Phillips.
