You may join the sick leave bank before the end of October by donating three days from your accumulated sick leave. This is a one-time donation, unless the bank’s balance gets low - at that time, one day per member may be assessed. Employees who have joined in the past do not need to join again ...you are still a member unless you have resigned your membership, retired or resigned employment. is  offering membership at a discounted rate to Jefferson County Schools' staff, spouses or partners.  Dependent children under age 24 of employees are also eligible. 
 
Attention Teachers With Military Experience!  Tennessee has posted a new provision for salary rating credit for active military experience:  "Acceptable Military Experience for Salary Rating Purposes: Active military service in the armed forces of the United States shall be recognized. Military service in the Reserve or in the National Guard, other than active duty, shall not be counted. Not more than five years of experience in the armed forces of the United States shall be counted."  Please submit a DD Form 214 which documents active military experience to Virginia Phillips.
