1. We have completed our project on schedule . We are continuing to work toward completing all products for the project and we are planning to continue our study of the permanent collection at the Knoxville museum in the future. .

2. Students have gained valuable insights into how a museum works and how the museum staff utilizes technology. Working with the museum has allowed students to experience the uses of technology in a real world setting.

3. All of the identified goals for our project have been addressed.

Understand the visual arts in relation to

history and cultures

(National Standard 4)

(history, criticism, aesthetics, production)

Subjectively and objectively assess the

characteristics and merits of personal artwork

and the works of others

(National Standard 5)

(aesthetics, criticism, history, production)

Create connections between visual arts and

other disciplines

(National Standard 6)

(criticism, aesthetics, history, production)

We have made great progress in addressing these goals.  Students have been able to create connections between the visual arts and other disciplines. They have learned to evaluate works of art and to understand the art in terms of the culture that produced it. We have involved students as active learners in this interdisciplinary project by using state- of- the- art computer equipment to achieve our objectives.

4. This project has allowed students, museum workers and teachers to collaborate using the resources of the museum and the school.  Our Goals 2000 project has allowed students and teachers to use technology to become a working part of the larger world outside the school. We have been able to see professionals at work. Through our web site and CD we have been able to give parents and the community tangible evidence of the work of students, The museum has a lasting record of the artists involved in the project.  This Goals 2000  project has allowed us to use our computer equipment to broaden student knowledge of the countless uses of technology in accessing, evaluating, creating and synthesizing information

5. Our completed web site is now online and may be viewed at the address given.
