Overview

Students will identify sight words and use them correctly in sentences.

Time Frame
30 minutes

Objectives

In this lesson, students will:

Materials x Microsoft® Word Procedure

The students in one class will contact another class and ask them to chat with them. The first class will select a sight word and send it to the other class. The second class will read the word out loud and will make a sentence using the identified sight word correctly. This sentence will be sent back to the other class with a newly selected sight word for the first class. This class will complete the same activity. Each class will send and identify four words during the activity. The teachers will keep a record of the sentences used over several days' time using Microsoft Word. The students can put together a book illustrating these sentences containing the sight words.
