Compound Concentration
Overview
Procedures
"Compound Concentration Game" Give each group 10 cards and ask them to write compound words on pairs of cards. If learners have problems thinking of compound words encourage them to look in their reading books for them. Collect cards and exchange with other teams for the game. Players turn all cards face down and try to match the compound word cards as they turn them face up, one card at a time. Each player can turn over 2 cards, then the next player takes his/her turn. If a player matches a compound word, they must give it’s meaning also to get a point. One point is awarded for each compound word. The object of the game is to match as many compound words as possible.
