Cyber Exchange for Educators started as a Goals 2000 funded online staff development project. The goal of Cyber Exchange is to create a resource and learning community for educators assisting the classroom teacher's efforts to integrate technology.

During the 1998-99 school year Cyber Exchange for Educators focused on language arts curriculum in grade levels 1-5.  At that time, 32 teachers in Jefferson County participated in the Cyber Exchange for Educators project.  Trained student mentors called "Cyber Ambassadors" from grades 4-5 assisted these teachers.

The 1999-2000 Cyber Exchange project involves 20 teachers and focusing on math and science curriculum for grades 5-12.
