TVAAS Faculty Student Data
ADMINISTRATOR TASKS
Please print the User Documentation and the following directions before teachers begin entering student data.
School administrators have to complete two tasks before teachers can enter student data:
Load teachers from last year and enter in any new teachers.
Pre-qualify all special ed students and low attendance students.
Each school has been assigned IDs and Passwords.
School Administrators will receive a School Administrator ID. Principals will use the School Administrator ID to Pre-Qualify Students and Edit the school teacher list before teachers can enter student data.
Teachers will use the School Level ID to enter student data.
Administrator IDs can perform Administrative Tasks such as administer User IDs and Passwords, Pre-Qualify Students so they do not display on the selection lists, and Add Teachers to the current year by bringing them forward from the previous year, plus they can from within the regular website, Delete incorrectly entered data, View Reports and Edit Teacher Information.
The administrative ID should be RESTRICTED to one or two people in a school, and not freely given out. There are School User IDs that can be given out that have the same functionality as last year.
Log In using your Administrative ID and password.

Adding Teachers in Batch:
We have provided the ability for an administrator to view a list of every teacher for this school from the previous year. Each can be selected, and added in a batch. Teachers no longer teaching here would not be selected, and the few new teachers may be added one at a time, as before.
The following picture shows a number of teachers selected.

Key on your
computer keyboard, click and HIGHLIGHT each name that is CURRENTLY IN YOUR
SCHOOL and in ONE OF THE APPROPRIATE GRADES for TVAAS. Do not highlight any
that are no longer in your school or who moved to a non-mandated grade.
Step 2: PRE_QUALIFY
STUDENTS:
Click the
button.
There are three categories of students who are not included in TVAAS data.
Special Education students are not used as part of the TVAAS Analysis;
Students who were not in your school system for a minimum length of time:
Grades 3-8:
A= students enrolled 150-180 days
B= students enrolled 75-149 days
C = students enrolled less than 74 days, only those students who fall in the C category will be excluded
Grades 9-12:
Any student enrolled less than 75 days in block
TVAAS is only for grades 3 through 12, however, any student who took the Achievement will display on the selection lists. Students in K-2 should not be included.
By clicking the ADMIN button, then the Pre Qualify button, a list of all the students will display, with a checkbox next to their name (District Users will select the school to get the list).

Note that at the bottom of the list, any students who have already been pre-qualified will display.

Initially, any off grade students will be the only ones here, but later, others who may have been checked will also display here. If it is found that some have been checked incorrectly, just clicking them down in this lower part will unflag them and they will again be listed on the selection lists.
Once you check each name that you want to flag (or unflag), click the SELECT button at the bottom of the screen below the lists. You may have to scroll down.
After teachers have completed the next
step, Student Data Entry, school
administrators should check their reports to ensure that all students have been
appropriately accounted.
Additional information is available for administrators, but not required for teachers to begin student data entry.
