Module 8:  Family and Community Involvement

Parent/Community Involvement: An integrated school, parent, and community approach for enhancing the health and well-being of students. School health advisory councils, coalitions, and broadly based constituencies for school health can build support for school health program efforts. Schools actively solicit parent involvement and engage community resources and services to respond more effectively to the health-related needs of students.

Mind, Body, and Soul is a British take on the challenges of adolescents, including accidents, alcohol, drugs, and healthy eating.
 
American Academy of Pediatrics specializes in child health and safety.
 
ESCORT: Educating Migrant Children share links and resources, and uses federal funding (among other sources) to run a hotline for migrant farm workers and their families
 
School Health Resources provides information related to substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and sexual health, mental health, parent-child communication, safe schools, and more.
