Module 4:  Nutrition Services

Nutrition Services: Access to a variety of nutritious and appealing meals that accommodate the health and nutrition needs of all students. School nutrition programs reflect the U.S. Dietary Guidelines for Americans and other criteria to achieve nutrition integrity. The school nutrition services offer students a learning laboratory for classroom nutrition and health education, and serve as a resource for linkages with nutrition-related community services. Qualified child nutrition professionals provide these services.

Dole 5 A Day is a founding member of the National 5 A Day For Better Health Program and is committed to encouraging children and their families to eat 5 to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables a day for good health.
FNS Online: TEAM Nutrition by the US Department of Agriculture site teaches children  about good nutrition, complete with teacher resources, lesson plans, and games.
We Can! or "Ways to Enhance Children's Activity & Nutrition" is a national program designed for families and communities to help children achieve a healthy weight.
