Jefferson County Schools will be conducting a School Safety Exercise Drill at Jefferson County High School Wednesday, May 24.   This full-scale, functional exercise will begin at approximately 9:00 am and conclude by 12:00 pm. School will be in session.  Students will be sheltered in the building for a short time in a lockdown scenario.  Law enforcement and emergency responders will be on site simulating an actual emergency situation. During this time no entrance onto the school grounds or into the school for visitors will be allowed.

Jefferson County Schools thanks our local emergency responders and law enforcement for partnering with us to plan and drill with staff and students to train us for emergency crisis response.
