On February 11, 2017, JCHS was host to and participated in the VEX Robotics day-long competition. The JCHS Technology Club is new to this competition. Alan Reece, club advisor, was very excited about all the great opportunities the students would experience by participating and hosting the tournament.  JCHS had two teams participate in the tournament. One of the teams from JCHS received the sportsmanship award and also was honored with the build award. This event was an excellent example of students engaging as digital citizens creating personalized learning paths toward mastery of skills for post-secondary success, which is part of 20/20 vision implemented by JCS.
