Introducing Students to Odysseyware

Posted by Amy Sharp in District Resources  |  Post a comment

Odysseyware is a great tool for students... If they understand how to use it!  Invest a little time introducing resource and orienting the students to the layout and  functions to save instructional time in the future.  Odysseyware trainers suggest that teachers have a student log into their account at the presenter computer in the classroom or lab and provide a whole-group walk through of the product.  A guide that includes the key points has been added to the Resource section of the ITPDC District-Wide Resources notebook.  The Odysseyware trainer also recommended leaving the "Always show after sign in" option for the introductory video checked for a while.  Most students need multiple exposures to new information, so encourage them to watch the video several times.
